Magnesium and better sleep: what the research actually says
July 2026 · 5 min read
Not all magnesium is equal. Here is why the form matters more than the milligrams for a calmer evening.
Magnesium is one of the most talked-about minerals for sleep and stress, and for good reason. It supports the nervous system, muscle relaxation, and the pathways that help you wind down at night.
The catch is absorption. Magnesium oxide, the cheapest and most common form, is poorly absorbed. Bisglycinate and L-threonate are gentler on the stomach and far more bioavailable, which is why we build our formula around them.
Timing helps too. Taken in the evening with water, magnesium fits naturally into a wind-down routine. Consistency over a few weeks is where most people notice the difference.
