How to read a supplement label like a formulator

A supplement label tells you almost everything, if you know where to look. Start with the form of each nutrient, not just the name.

Watch for proprietary blends. When a label groups several ingredients under one total, it is hiding the individual doses, which usually means the expensive active is present in a token amount.

Finally, check the other ingredients line. A short, clean list is a good sign. A long one full of fillers, binders and colors is not.
